This Privacy Policy describes how Flipper Aquarium Products, Inc. ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website at flippercleaner.com and our related services.

Section 1 — What Do We Do With Your Information?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us, such as your name, address, email address, and, where you provide it, your phone number. When you browse our store, we automatically receive your computer's internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. With your permission, we may send you emails and, where you have opted in, text messages about our store, new products, and other updates.

Section 2 — Consent

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery, or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no. You may opt in to SMS text messages separately (see Section 9), and you may withdraw SMS consent at any time by replying STOP. Section 3 — Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms & Conditions. We do not share your phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information, including text messaging originator opt-in data, is excluded from all sharing categories in this policy.

Section 4 — Shopify

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify's data storage, databases, and the general Shopify application, behind a firewall. If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction; after that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

Section 5 — Third-Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. Certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. We recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers. We use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the site; you can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Once you leave our store's website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy.

Section 6 — Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption.

Section 7 — Cookies

We use cookies to maintain the session of your user and to operate our store (for example, _session_id, _shopify_visit, _shopify_uniq, cart, _secure_session_id, and storefront_digest). These help our store function and remember your cart and session.

Section 8 — Age of Consent

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence. SMS communications are available only to individuals 18 years of age or older; by opting in to text messages you represent that you are at least 18.

Section 9 — SMS / Text Messaging  (NEW SECTION)

We obtain your express opt-in consent before sending you SMS text messages. You may opt in by checking the SMS consent box on our website contact form. By opting in, you authorize Flipper Aquarium Products, Inc. to send you transactional and (where separately consented) marketing SMS messages at the mobile number you provide, possibly using automated means.

  • Message frequency varies based on your activity and the message types you've consented to.

  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your wireless carrier and plan.

  • Consent is not a condition of purchase.

  • Reply HELP for help or STOP at any time to unsubscribe. After you reply STOP you will receive one final confirmation message and no further SMS messages.

  • Mobile information, including text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Such information is used solely to deliver the SMS communications you have consented to and to administer the SMS program (e.g., handling STOP and HELP requests).

Section 10 — Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated. If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
